Redesign of LabEGI - Industrial Engineering and Management Laboratory

The Industrial Engineering and Management Laboratory (LabEGI) was recently remodeled and reequipped. The ergonomic conditions were significantly improved, and the whole layout redesigned, hence allowing space to receive a greater number of users simultaneously.

The LabEGI infrastructure is equipped with computers where they are installed specialized software packages (Minitab, OpenCIM, and IMS Virtual) to support the scholar activities and practical classes carried out by the students in the context of curricular courses such as Quality Control, Production Planning and Control, Automation and Robotics, Logistics, Decision-making Systems, and others.

Among the available features, they allow students to perform simulations, virtual optimization of real-case processes, and quantitative and statistical analysis of experimental data.
