Master’s Degree
Director of MEGI: Prof. Francisco Pinto
The Master in Industrial Engineering and Management (MEGI) is structured according to the highest international teaching standards. The Master’s program holds a strong component of innovation in the area of Operations Research, as well as Data, Process and Asset Management. It allows to build knowledge and skills supported in information technologies across Industrial Engineering and Management. With strong links to industry and R&D institutions, it is the natural complement for those wishing to extend their studies by completing a 2nd cycle, in order to obtain a higher level of specialization and access higher levels of professional hiring, meeting market demand.
In terms of teaching content, the course allows the future Master to address challenges by structuring the problem, analyzing information and communicating reasoned solutions. These skills will be applied, in particular, in the management of projects, industrial units and production lines in industrial and service sectors. It also allows the completion of a final work (Dissertation/Project/Internship) under innovative projects within the research center RCM2+ (ex-EIGeS) and collaboration protocols aimed at integrating students in internship periods in different public and private entities.
