Out of Limits Presents AI Innovations that Will Transform Airport Management at EGI Conference
9 December, 2024
On November 28, the 10th Industrial Engineering and Management Conference, organized by Professor Raphaela Vidal, was attended by engineers Ricardo Rosa and Ismael Pacheco, founders of the technology company Out of Limits. The lecture, entitled “Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics: The Future of Airport Management”, took place at Lusófona University and covered the latest innovations based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the airport sector.
During the presentation, the speakers demonstrated how Out of Limits' technological solutions are revolutionizing baggage processing at airports. The use of real-time data was highlighted as a key element in optimizing operational efficiency, reducing errors, delays and costs, and improving the passenger experience. According to the engineers, these technologies make it possible to identify and solve problems immediately, while also ensuring greater predictability in airline operations.
The founders of Out of Limits also presented solutions under development based on AI, neural networks and image analysis, designed to increase efficiency and safety in the aircraft turnaround process. These technological tools promise to reduce the time aircraft spend on the ground and minimize operational delays, bringing significant benefits to the sector.
The lecture brought together dozens of students from the Engenharia e Gestão Industrial, as well as professors and researchers from the RCM2+ center. The event aroused great interest, with students asking relevant questions, which were clarified by the speakers with practical examples and real-time demonstrations of Out of Limits software in operation at various international airports.
