Painting exhibition by Rui Assis

An exhibition about Prof. Rui Assis's career in painting, which he pursued in parallel with his profession, Industrial Management Engineering.

His vocation began with watercolors and gouaches of stylized human figures in natural contexts, then progressed to oils, followed by acrylics and, lately, fluid acrylics.

The artist studied painting and later scientific illustration.

After close contact with nature for 30 years in Alto Alentejo, Rui Assis enriched his painting with collages in the form of inert and dried elements from the plant kingdom.

Opening on September 6, 5:30 p.m., at the Orlando Ribeiro Library.

The exhibition can be visited until 18/09, during library hours.
