Brazilian Order of Engineers Delegation (CREA) Visit to Lusófona University of Lisbon

On September 12th, in partnership with DeepTechLab (DTL), the Faculty of Engineering and the Asset Management and Systems Engineering Research Centre (RCM2+) from Lusófona University in Lisbon, hosted a delegation from the Brazilian Order of Engineers, at the invitation of the Portuguese Order of Engineers.

During their mission to Portugal, the group of Brazilian Engineers, from the Regional Council of Engineering, Agronomy, and Geosciences (CREA) of the State of Santa Catarina, visited several institutions that have been contributing to Portugal's innovation ecosystem, with Lusófona University of Lisbon being one of the key points of interest.

During the visit, the Engineers were introduced to the University's main initiatives in the field of Engineering, particularly in terms of international projects funded by the European Union under the HORIZON EUROPE program. These include the CATCHER, EWALD, INNMEDSCAN, PhytoAPP, AquaSynapse, and DETMED projects, all coordinated by Lusófona University.

In addition to attending an introductory session to the University and DeepTechLab’s mission and its research activities, the delegation also visited the laboratory, where they had the opportunity to witness the daily work of the DTL team up close.

DeepTechLab was founded in 2022 as a research unit integrated in Lusófona University that focuses on the development and implementation of revolutionary products and processes nationally and internationally, aiming for scientific breakthroughs through the formation and development of an innovative infrastructure. It also aims to foster a culture of innovative entrepreneurship and raise educational standards.
