On November 13, as part of the 9th Industrial Engineering and Management Conference, organized by Prof. Raphaela Vidal and Prof. Ricardo Mateus, a lecture was held entitled Case studies from the field - advanced project controls techniques - EVM, Resource management & Quantitative Cost Schedule risk analysis.

During the session, Niels Ligtvoet, Managing Director at Proove (Lisbon), shared some knowledge gained from his experience in applying advanced project control methods and techniques in various sectors of industry. Emphasizing his three favorite tools, Earned Value Management, Resource Management and Quantitative Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis, Niels listed some of his strengths and weaknesses in generating insights into projects that result in better decision-making and consequent value creation.
