Industrial Engineering and Management Seminar: Lecture 2

On April 18, the second lecture of the 8th Industrial Engineering and Management Seminar , entitled “An Engineer in Continuous Improvement Management” was held, with Eng. Micaela Pereira, Continuous Improvement Coordinator at Transportes Paulo Duarte.

Before the session began, Micaela Pereira was interviewed with total naturalness in front of the cameras, shared the objective of the lecture, clarifying what continuous improvement management is. She also highlighted the importance of the connection between companies and universities: “As a student, I missed this proximity with professionals”.

During her speech, one can see the speaker's enthusiasm and openness when sharing some of her professional experiences in the companies she worked for and her great determination to face the challenges that arose during her professional career, mainly in male-dominated environments. In these contexts, she highlighted that it was essential to develop soft skills and manage expectations.
