Lego as a teaching tool: UC Technology-Based Entrepreneurship

March 20, 2025

On March 12, students from the Technology-Based Entrepreneurship UC (EBTI) took part in a practical class with Prof. Raphaela Vidal, where they had the opportunity to use the LEGO game as a teaching tool.

The use of gamification in the classroom and in corporate training is already a reality. LEGO has been used to stimulate creativity, foster innovation, think in 3D, increase engagement and solve complex problems. By manipulating the blocks, knowledge is “unlocked”, problems identified and solutions built.

At EBTI, students were challenged to identify problems on the university campus, developing solutions that could bring satisfaction to members of the academic community with a sustainability footprint.

The students were able to exercise creativity and innovation, which are essential skills for the discipline of Technology-Based Entrepreneurship and future professionals.

“It was a very enriching experience, as it allowed me to hone my quick thinking skills and creativity” (Claudino Moises).
