Portuguese engineers with experience abroad: more satisfied and better paid

Reports reveal that Portuguese engineers are the most satisfied graduates with their careers and have higher salaries if they have international experience.

The report of a study involving more than 35,000 Portuguese graduates, released on January 12 by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, revealed that Portuguese engineers, among graduates from all areas of training, are the ones who reported the highest level of satisfaction with their careers, in particular with integration into the job market, salaries, working hours and overall job satisfaction. 

The European Commission's Eurograduate 2022 report, presented on Friday, January 12 in Lisbon, concludes that graduates from Portuguese higher education institutions who have had international experience earn better salaries, due to the skills and knowledge acquired abroad.
