Professor Rui Assis publishes book in the industrial maintenance management area

Asset Management is a new function required by companies looking to increase the reliability of their facilities and equipment. Prof. Rui Assis “Support for Decision on Maintenance in Physical Asset Management”, accompanied by 65 EXCEL applications, edited by LIDEL, addresses Maintenance Management issues. The work describes how to optimize the management of physical assets, through the careful selection of maintenance policies based on reliability and resource savings. Describes the principles of spare parts inventory management, cost-effective analysis of investments in reliability improvements.

It also describes how to evaluate the performance of the management of resources (technical and human) allocated to the Maintenance function through indicators integrated in a structure consistent with the company’s strategic objectives.
