Seminar: DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) Models in the Analysis of Stochastic and Dynamic Efficiency in Decision Systems.
June 26, 2024
On June 24, 2024, as part of the Seminars in Industrial Engineering and Management, Professors Dr. Paulo Nocera Alves Junior and Dr. Isotilia Costa Melo presented a seminar at Lusófona University entitled "Advanced Data Envelopment Analysis Models for Dynamic and Stochastic Efficiency Analysis and tie-breaking: Total Costs and Technical Efficiency Approaches using Chance-Constrained Programming, Principles of Optimal Control Theory, Window Analysis, and Composite Index".
The seminar was based on the research work carried out by the presenters, focusing on the development of DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) models for analyzing and computing data with the aim of providing efficiency indicators to help companies and public institutions make decisions aimed at improving the efficiency of their operations.
The event had an audience made up of researchers from the Asset Management and Systems Engineering Research Center (RCM2+) and Professors from the Industrial Engineering and Management Courses (LEGI and MEGI), as well as many remote participants via Zoom who actively participated with pertinent questions that were explored in depth by the presenters.
