Seminar: “Governance Arrangements for Urban Drainage Services in Brazil”|“System of Indicators for Urban Solid Waste Management: A Parallel Between the Technical Regulation Models in Portugal and Brazil”

On the next 18th of October at 6 PM, a seminar will take place in Room K3 at the Kuadro Space of Lusófona University, as part of the “Seminar Series: Management and Systems Engineering”. The event will feature two presentations focused on internationally relevant topics in the field of urban systems management.

The first presentation, titled “Governance Arrangements for Urban Drainage Services in Brazil”, will be delivered by Alesi Teixeira Mendes, a PhD student from the University of Brasília, Brazil. His talk will address the governance structures applied to urban drainage services in Brazil, highlighting the challenges and solutions to improve the efficiency and sustainability of these systems.

The second presentation, “System of Indicators for Urban Solid Waste Management: A Parallel Between the Technical Regulation Models in Portugal and Brazil”, will be presented by Marcelo Ádamis Andrade, a PhD student from the Federal University of Pará, Brazil. This communication will provide a comparative analysis of the technical regulation models for urban solid waste management in Portugal and Brazil, highlighting the main indicators and the most effective practices in both countries.

This seminar is an excellent opportunity to discuss crucial issues in systems engineering and urban management, as well as to promote the exchange of knowledge between different international contexts.
