Seminar: Renewing the Lens of Sustainable Development: Exploring the Interplay Between Population Growth and Water Supply and Sanitation (WSS)

We would like to invite you to join the upcoming seminar in the Seminar Series on Management and Systems Engineering, hosted by Universidade Lusófona.

The event will take place on February 18th, 2025, at 6:00 PM, in room K3 at Espaço Kuadro, with the option to attend online via Zoom.

This seminar will explore critical global challenges at the intersection of population growth and water supply and sanitation (WSS). The session, titled "Renewing the Lens of Sustainable Development: Exploring the Interplay Between Population Growth and Water Supply and Sanitation (WSS)", will be led by Jean Marlo de Paula, PhD Student at Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa.

The presentation will delve into how demographic expansion impacts water resource management, infrastructure resilience, and policy-making, while also addressing strategies for sustainable development in the face of growing urbanization and environmental pressures.
