The Young Engineer Innovation Prize is awarded to Alexandre Martins for his work in Predictive Maintenance with AI

June 6, 2023

The Young Engineer Innovation Prize is awarded annually to emerging engineers who excel in the demonstrated excellence and creativity of their innovative research and projects. This distinction recognizes the significant efforts and contributions of young talents in advancing the knowledge and application of engineering.

Alexandre Martins has been recognized and awarded second place for his work titled "Sensor Monitoring for Support in Predictive Maintenance Using Artificial Intelligence." This work addresses the crucial field of predictive maintenance and industrial metrology, which are essential for ensuring the operability and reliability of systems and equipment. His research focuses on the application of artificial intelligence tools to monitor sensors and provide support for predictive maintenance.

By utilizing advanced machine learning techniques and data processing, the researcher's work proposes an innovative system that allows continuous real-time monitoring of sensors. This approach enables the detection of anomalies and failures in industrial equipment (production equipment and their respective reading devices) before they occur, facilitating more efficient maintenance and reducing operational costs.
