IX EGI Seminars

The 9th edition of the Industrial Engineering and Management Days saw the participation of Proove's Managing Director, Niels Ligtvoet, as speaker for the penultimate lecture of the event: Case studies from the field - advanced project controls techniques - EVM, Resource management & Quantitative Cost Schedule risk analysis. Director Niels Ligtvoet has been involved in projects in various industries, from nuclear waste storage, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals and energy (offshore wind). At Proove, he is the Expert Service Lead, holding all the advanced Project Control techniques, such as the implementation of integrated Project Control systems like Earned Value Management, Quantitative Cost/Schedule risk analysis and Planning Visualization techniques.

Engineering Seminars

The VII Engineering and Industrial Management Seminars had the participation of Professor Isabel Gomes as the speaker of the first lecture of the event: Inverse Logistics. Professor Isabel Gomes is a professor at the Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of Science and Technology (Universidade Nova de Lisboa).

Interview with Dr. Andryie Lyubchyk

From the new lab of Faculty of Engineering, DeepTechLab, Andryie Lyubchyk, EIGeS´researcher, presents the CATCHER project that is aimed at development of innovative technology to exploit the atmospheric humidity for direct conversion to the electricity, thus gain a new sustainable source of renewable energy and to contribute to implementing the specific priorities for strengthening the EU leadership on renewables.
